The Team Behind It Chloe and Trenton
Chloe is a Registered Veterinary Technician. When she is not in the hospital taking care of her canine and feline patients, she is usually on call to her dog and cat nieces and nephews! She truly loves what she does, and says that taking care of animals medically is such a hard but rewarding job.
Trenton has his certificate in Animal Management, and was sworn in as an Animal Cruelty Officer for Lucas County in the fall of 2019. Being an Animal Cruelty Officer is not for the faint of heart; seeing neglect, abuse, and so many horrific crimes committed on animals was mentally and emotionally exhausting for Trenton. Feeling like the laws weren’t always on the animals’ side while working cruelty cases; he decided to switch career paths and dove straight into dog training. Unsurprisingly, all the naughtiest dogs gravitated towards Trenton and it is obvious that training dogs is what he was put on this earth to do.
But what some people may not know is that Trenton and Chloe met while working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility…and that brings us to this.
Dogs Like Ed; Premium dog services.
Dogs Like Ed first came about after Chloe and Trenton went through their early twenties together with their first dog Eddy. Eddy had some issues with dog reactivity and they were not prepared for the crash course they were going to need on being “reactive dog handlers”.
After seeking help from multiple wonderful trainers (and many years of hard work as a family), they finally felt like Ed was able to get out into the world, explore, and enjoy anything he wanted to. They were now able to hike over-populated, narrow, dog-present trails, swim on crowded beaches, and walk thousands of miles around their city(literally!). None of this would’ve been possible for Ed’s life without training.
“At Dogs Like Ed, we want all dogs to be able to experience a life like this regardless of any issues they may have.
We are so excited to share this journey with all of our animal friends we’ve already made and are beyond over-joyed to meet so many more of you!
Here’s to all the dogs like Ed out there!”
